Project Socks

I just finished knitting my first pair of socks. I knitted them as a gift for Michael....they where supposed to be Christmas socks but they turned out to be Valentine's socks instead.
The heel is a special "Japanese Method" says my knitting teacher Kazuko. I believe the term is short-row stitching, which creates a very elegant and almost seamless product.
The toe is cute I think....when you actually put it on it looks more rounded.
