Project Homebrew Laser Cutter

Basically, Laser cutters are where it's at, but they are so expensive. I will try and build my own.

I found some instructions here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Zach-Radding-Homebrew-Laser-Cutter/ and here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Laser-cutter-start-slicing-stuff-for-under-50-dol/ and some elsewhere that are similar enough to make me think that it is a good approach. The main functionality comes from using two old scanners situated perpendicularly for the x and y movement.
